About Us

The Bike Palatine Club's primary goal is to get more people on their bikes more often. We especially welcome those who haven't ridden in a number of years and wish to get back out on two wheels.

Our rides range from 8 mph to over 16 mph. Ride distances typically range from 5 to 30 miles. You will find riders at your experience level with similar interests. On all club rides we stick together, staying with anyone having physical or mechanical difficulties. From the Full Moon ride to the Scavenger Hunt to Dirt N' Durty, we have something for everyone. Check out our event calendar tab to see what's coming up next.

Initially founded in 2009, the Bike Palatine Club has always had a strong commitment to improving cycling conditions with The Village of Palatine. We tirelessly advocate for improved bike lanes, signage and other amenities to make cycling better and safer. We have been orchestrating Bike to School Day each, growing it from 2 schools and 55 riders to 11 schools and over 1,000 riders in 2016.. We have an annual safety skills rodeo for young riders in June. We look forward to seeing you at our signature ride, Cyclefest, now in it's 9th year. Volunteers are always welcome.
